Privacy Policy

The short version

Flock of Ten is made for young children, and it collects nothing about them or about anyone else. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. What the game remembers stays in a file on your own device and is never sent anywhere.

1. Information we collect

None. Flock of Ten does not collect, transmit, or store personal information. The app contains:

The game does not ask for the camera, the microphone, your location, your contacts or your photos. We operate no server. There is nowhere for us to put your information even if we wanted it.

2. What is stored on your device

The game keeps a small file in its own private storage recording whether the unlock has been purchased. Anything else it remembers between sessions, such as a setting, is kept the same way: on the device, and nowhere else.

Nothing in that storage identifies you or your child, and none of it is transmitted. We cannot read it. Deleting the app deletes all of it. Your device's own backup may include these files, which is covered by Apple's or Google's privacy policy rather than ours.

3. The in-app purchase

Flock of Ten is free to download, and the ten Make 10 boards are free and do not expire. One optional purchase opens the later boards. The transaction is handled entirely by the store you installed the game from — Apple, through the App Store on iPhone and iPad, or Google, through Google Play on Android. Your payment details are given to that store and never to us: we never see a card number, a name, an address, or your Apple Account or Google Account.

The store tells the app only the unlock's price in your own currency and whether you already own it. We receive only the aggregate, anonymous sales reports every developer gets, and those identify no one.

Restoring a previous purchase asks the same store the same question again.

4. Children's privacy

Flock of Ten is designed for children, including children under 13, and for the adults who play beside them. We have built it so that there is nothing to protect in the first place:

Because nothing is gathered, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to review, correct, or ask us to delete under laws such as the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or the GDPR. If you are a parent, guardian or teacher and have any question about this, please write to us at the address below and a person will answer.

5. Third parties

The app integrates no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The purchase is made through the platform's own payment machinery — Apple's StoreKit on iPhone and iPad, Google's Play Billing library on Android — which is used for nothing but selling and restoring the unlock, and reports nothing to us. We share nothing with anyone, because we hold nothing to share.

Downloading the app is a transaction between you and the store you got it from, Apple or Google, under that store's own policy.

6. When the game goes online

The game plays entirely offline. It contacts something outside your device in only two cases: to ask the store for the unlock's price, or to buy or restore it; and to open this page when someone presses Privacy.

7. This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its pages, pictures and styles are all served from this site itself; it loads no fonts, scripts or trackers from anyone else. As with any website, the service that hosts it may keep ordinary server logs, such as the time of a request and the address it came from. We do not use them to identify anyone.

If you email us, we will have your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you.

8. Security

The strongest protection we can offer is the one described above: information that is never collected cannot be leaked, sold, or subpoenaed.

9. Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, and to object to its processing. We hold no personal information about you or your child, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase. You are still welcome to ask us anything, and we will answer.

10. Changes to this policy

If Flock of Ten ever adds something that collects information — classroom features, cloud saves, analytics, or anything else — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. We will not quietly start collecting under a policy that says we don't.
